Week Four Part Two:

   One website that I use frequently is https://www.target.com. Target's website is effective because it is very organized and easy on the eye. Their website is very easy to navigate through and you can search for things at the very top of the page. A good design principle they use are the tabs and categories they have at the top of the website. For example, they have a tab that says "categories" and they have a tab that days "deals". At the very top of the page they have other services they use such as registries or the Target Red Card. I think the way they have the page designed makes the consumer feel at ease and informed. This is important because that way, they will want to purchase more. I come back again to look at the deals they have going on. Its also very easy to online shop through their website and returning products is easy to do too. Target has a really good website, so I guess the only thing they could improve on would be to put more pictures. When I first clicked on the website they have a big picture of two models modeling their new jeans brand. They could have improved this by including more pictures in a slideshow form.
   Another website that I use frequently is https://www.morphebrushes.com. Morphe's website is similar to Target. Their website is very organized and it looks very classy and clean. It is easy to find what you are looking for through their website. A good design principle they have is that they have many pictures of their products. They also have pictures of makeup artists that use their makeup. When you click on a product you like, it brings you to "quick view". Quick view shows you the price and you can add it to your cart. I think it is very effective and efficient. I keep coming back to their website to see what new products they have. It is very easy to look at their products and determine what product is best for you. Honestly, I don't think they have anything to improve on. They have all their social media accounts located on the bottom of their website, they have tabs that you can click on to get to the topic you wanted and they have a chat representative to help you if you need assistance. They have a well managed website.

I have learned a lot from this semester. I learned what a good looking website is and how important it is to have a clean, organized website, I learned how to check analytics, how to have a call to action in my advertisements, to pay attention to my competitors and see what they are posting, etc. It is neat to think back on all of the projects we have done in this class and how much we have learned. The best social media platform that I will use in my business will be Facebook. I believe it caters to my audience more and I feel like my audience uses facebook more than any other social media platform. However, now I know how to check my Facebook analytics so I can help improve my posts to reach more of an audience. Personally, the social media accounts that I use the most in my free time are instagram and snapchat. week 17

My social media for business has improved through this course. We have been more frequent about posting on Facebook. We are trying our best to come up with new ideas to advertise. We have gained new customers and we have gained new likes on our page. Its cool to see our business grow.  I am very proud of everything that we have accomplished. This course has really inspired us to improve our business.  I have revamped our website and made it more sleek and more organized. We have actually saved money by canceling unnecessary things on our website that we were paying extra for that we didn't need. This course has also inspired us to have our building look better and have more of our brand in our lobby. Here are some things that we have done. 1. We redid our floors out in the shop because they were stained with oil and dirt. They are now glossy and look so good. You can see them on the pictures on our instagram page. 2. Week1A: My Template

   I chose this template because it made me feel relaxed and at ease when my eyes grazed upon it. Furthermore,  I enjoyed how clean the posts looked with this template. I was debating between this template and a more vibrant template, but I ultimately chose this one because it was easier on the eye. This template was also easy to use and navigate around, which is something important to me. This is my very first blog, so I feel like a fish out of water trying to figure out how to use this. :)    I think it is important to not have a template that is overwhelming. This template does not make me feel overwhelmed which I appreciate because I personally get stressed out easily. In addition,  I want to have an inviting blog that makes people feel they are welcomed. Therefore,  I chose this template because it made me feel good and I want others to feel the same.
